What is it about?
Learners’ Lodge is offering a series of JC1 Revision Workshops this November and December to current JC1 students. Subjects include: General Paper, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
The aim of these workshops is to help students strengthen their foundations of JC1 topics for the various subjects. The main purpose of these workshops is two-fold. First, students going on to JC2 will be learning new content material and will not revisit the JC1 topics until the end of JC2, but most schools tend to test these topics during the March and July Common Tests anyway. For students who need to boost the foundations for some of the topics, these workshops can help them.
Second, some JC1 students who did not perform well in their promotional examinations may be required by their schools to take a re-test either in December or January in order to promote to JC2 or to keep 4 H2 subjects. These workshops can help them prepare for these re-tests.

Who conducts these workshops?
All workshops are conducted by our full time teachers at the Centre. These teachers have many years of experience preparing students for both JC1 promotional examinations as well as the ‘A’ level examination. For more details about the teachers’ profile, please visit our webpage https://www.learnerslodge.com.sg/category/our-tutors/
Do I have to attend the entire workshop?
No. Students can sign up for specific topics across subjects to attend based on what topics they are weaker in for each subject. For example, a student may choose to attend only two lessons in Economics and three lesson in Mathematics and one lesson in Chemistry.
This buffet approach allows students to pick the specific topics that they need most, and hence allows students to choose a programme that best fit their needs.
