Ms Nah Seok Ling is a cheerful teacher that strives to make each lesson enjoyable. She purposefully chooses a case study or 2 essays that focus on different concepts every week, and does concise summaries that allow us to refresh these concepts and clear our doubts on them. She is also very resourceful and provides us with examination materials from several schools for our own practice. Most importantly, Ms Nah consistently marks and returns any practices that we submit to her every week, giving us very useful feedback that highlight the strengths in our writing, as well as the points for improvement. She is also willing to help us with our schoolwork and to answer any additional questions we may have after the lesson ends. Overall, Ms Nah is a wonderful teacher that constantly encourages her students to believe in themselves and to do better, and we always look forward to her weekly lessons!
Hello Mr Sng Tat Ming!! Thank you so so much for all your patience and guidance in teaching us mad maths. I am really grateful that you were my teacher, for 1) your holy grail (notes – literally the best summaries) and 2) your systematic teaching that makes math a lot easier to understand. Most of all I can’t thank you enough for your constant encouragements that lighten up our JC moods, giving me/ us more confidence to take on the ever complex subject. In summation, there’s no argument that you are a real inspiring teacher.
Mr Au Chee Ping is a very passionate chemistry teacher. He made chemistry a lot easier for me to understand. He always entertain me and my classmates after class to help us out despite his busy schedule. I am very grateful for him and I am very proud to say that my chem grade improved from C in J1 to an A in A level !
I wasn’t very good in Mathematics and had lost confidence in myself when I got back my promotional exam results in Year 1. However, Ms Ruby Ng’s teaching methods and tips had helped me to slowly understand the subject again. She is very dedicated in really helping me to improve and has always encouraged me along the way, believing in my own abilities when I wasn’t able to. I will always remember the short moments of conversation I have with Ms Ng, be it about asking math questions or discussing about the future. Besides Math, Ms Ng has also been very supportive of my dreams and encouraging me to make them come true. Even though we only knew each other for a short time, Ms Ng has become one of the best and most supporting teacher who I will remember for a long time.
Mr Koh Chee Wee was a fantastic teacher. He was firm in his teaching yet he always found time to connect with his students in a fun way. Thanks to him, I gradually improved my Econs from a constant S to B and finally received an A in A levels! Thanks Mr Koh!
I’d be lying if I said Econs was my favourite subject because that’s be SO far from the truth… but Mr Koh Chee Wee made lessons SO FUN!! Every concept that he taught was well explained and substantiated with so many easy to understand real-life examples. His dedication to every single one of his students is insane and I’m so grateful that I was granted the opportunity to be under him. Mr Koh is truly god-sent and thanks to him my E for Econs went to an A! 👍🏼
To Mr Mike Wang:
Thank you for guiding me throughout every topic of Chemistry and for allowing us to text you urgent questions any time we need to, and for always answering our questions with depth. Your determination to dedicate your own time out of class to have consultation sessions with us, going through every mistake in our exam paper has certainly helped me in not repeating the same careless mistakes. You definitely have a part to play in helping me attain an A for my A-Level Chemistry grade. I appreciate and thank you a lot Mr Wang!
I used to struggle with chemistry a lot before coming to learners lodge but Mr Au Chee Ping really helped me understand difficult concepts. He was able to breakdown complicated topics so it was easier for the class to understand. His way of explaining things was also very clear and concise. Mr Au would recap the current topic at the start of every lesson which was very helpful. In addition, the practice questions that Mr Au picked out for us were unique and challenging. I am extremely thankful for Mr Au’s guidance and I owe my A in chemistry to him!
Dear Mr Koh Chee Wee,
Thank you so much for your guidance in H2 Econs! When I first joined in J2, my understanding of Econs was severely lacking and full of concept gaps. However, your comprehensive notes and your elaboration explanations in class really helped me to catch up in Econs. Despite Econs consistently being my worst subject in school, your tuition helped me to jump from a D in school exams to an A in A Levels! Thank you Mr Koh!
Mr Aw Meng How:
I came in at the start of JC2 with a D grade and within a year of working with Mr. Aw, I improved greatly and managed to do well in my A Levels examinations. Mr Aw Meng How has a very systematic way of teaching, he goes in-depth into every single question types for both comprehension and essay. This was especially important to me because I am able to focus on every single question type and master every single question type before proceeding to another. Mr Aw also has a lot of notes which makes content learning a lot easier. Most crucially, Mr Aw is always there for his students and never fails to go the extra mile to help his students with whatever they need. I was really surprised that Mr Aw was willing to spend up to 30 mins every week to go through my essays with me
1-1, despite the fact that he has so many students.
I highly recommend parents and students to work with Mr Aw. Given his profound understanding of GP and his level of commitment towards his students, as long as you listen to what he says and are willing to work hard, you definitely would be able to achieve your desired results!
