Thank you Mr Raymond Cai for helping me do well for my A Levels! Your simple yet comprehensive teaching style and unwavering patience really helped me to break down the concepts and truly understand physics! I’m immensely grateful for all you have done for me, taking the time to answer my numerous questions and being such a dedicated teacher overall. Thank you so much once again!
I am so thankful to Ms Ruby Ng for her tireless efforts made to guide me through both pure maths and statistics. Her teaching style is easy to understand and her lecture notes are concise and only contain the most essential information needed. Not to mention, she would conscientiously compiled various types of questions regarding certain topics and makes sure we practice as much as we can. Additionally, she is very approachable and easily contactable online so it is really convenient to ask her questions regarding schoolwork. Ms Ruby constantly engages her students during class and ensures that everyone is learning as much as possible, even during online lessons. The problem-solving methods taught during her lessons are extremely useful during exams. Thank you so much Ms Ruby!!!
Dear Mr Koh Chee Wee,
Hello Mr Koh, my apologies for this super late message, hopefully you will still be able to see this. I would just like to say a huge, huge thank you for being a wonderful teacher, and an even better mentor. I believe that your clear and concise explanations, your well structured lessons, and your patience in helping students clarify any doubts and queries with 100% accuracy is what makes you such a respectable and responsible teacher. I am really glad to have been tutored by you, because quite frankly without your guidance I am sure I wouldn’t have done nearly as well as I did in A levels. Thank you for believing in me even before I sat for the A level examinations, I’m glad I could make you proud and live up to your expectations 😁
Having joined only in March in my J2 year, one of my concerns was that my weak areas may differ greatly from the rest of the class and I would be lost in tuition. However, it never felt like that! Mr Fung always prioritised his students’ welfare and ensure that they can keep up. His dedication to teaching not only makes his classes engaging but also makes learning Econs fun and less tedious! He can easily break down concepts for you to understand and if you do not understand them still, he will patiently explain them to you till you are crystal clear. (which happened to me many times, I had a lot to catch up on but he was always willing to help!)
Mr Fung also offered to help me outside of the scheduled lessons by marking the essays that I wrote, and even going through them with me through 1-1 consults. I have not seen any other tuition teacher that is willing to do this much for their students.
Studying Econs with Mr Fung at Learners’ Lodge was a worthy investment!! He is caring, dedicated and has an excellent content mastery! And also extremely relatable! So it won’t be intimidating. Econs tuition was the only class I never used my phone in!
Thanks for all the help Mr Fung Jia Pei :D
Mr Koh Chee Wee has really helped me understand complex economic concepts in an easier way and he is always willing to answer my doubts. He always ensures that we have fully understood the concepts and he is very patient when explaining. Thank you Mr Koh for helping me improve my economics!
Thank you SO much to Mr Fung Jia Pei for being the best economics teacher I could ever ask for! I initially joined in JC1 because I had gotten a ‘C’ for my Mid-year examinations and needed some guidance to improve myself. Mr Fung was there for me every step of the way, not only as an academic tutor but also a provider of emotional support and life advice. Mr Fung teaches economics with extreme clarity and passion, inspiring me to invest more time and effort into learning this subject. Through his lessons, I cultivated a genuine interest in economics and consequently achieved better grades. More importantly, Mr Fung proved to be a sincere teacher as he often took extra time to share valuable tips for our further education and life in general, which never failed to move me. I still remember how I was once distraught about not getting a distinction for Project Work, but Mr Fung was the one who talked me out of my despair by sharing his own experiences and hence reassuring me of my capabilities. Mr Fung also often offered consultations to us beyond the tuition hours we pay for. Thank you once again Mr Fung, your actions along the way, big or small, have left a really big impact on my academic life and I hope that more students will come under the same valuable guidance that I got to receive by being your student
Mr Daniel Yeo is a dedicated teacher who ensures students have a thorough understanding of the subject. Apart from his useful notes and extra practices which covers all grounds, he is very patient in clarifying any of my doubts and goes in-depth during content teaching.
I enjoy his lessons very much as Mr yeo is a teacher who goes beyond academics, to check on student’s welfare. Despite the Covid-19 situation, he still proved to be an amazing teacher who i am extremely grateful towards.
Upon joining Mr Fung Jia Pei at the tail end of J1, he had reinforced my foundation in Economics, allowing me to be amply prepared for the A levels. His classes have never fallen short of being informative and insightful, where he delivers Economic concepts in bitesize pieces. Beyond that, Mr Fung is a mentor for all his students, gearing them well not just for a one off examination but also life’s countless tests. I have taken away alot during my time as his student, not just an A for Econs in the A levels but also many valuable teachings that will prepare me for university and beyond.
My jump in grades from a U to an A at the ‘A’ Levels already speaks volumes about the quality of Mr Sng Tat Ming’s teaching. Before joining LL, I struggled mainly with interpreting application questions and identifying the concepts and formulas necessary to solve them. Mr Sng’s study hacks and answering tips really broke down the syllabus content into digestible chunks that makes H2 Math accessible for an Arts stream student like myself. His relatable and entertaining anecdotes to exemplify math questions always make lessons more lively and engaging, which is just one of the many ways he connects on a personal level with students! Most of all, I’m grateful for his unwavering faith in us, encouraging me to try again even when I was convinced I was a lost cause, which eventually lead me to excel at the ‘A’ Levels. Thank you Mr Sng for everything! :)
I came into Mr Yeo’s physics classes with an interest in physics but poor grades (U/S) as I was unable to digest information very well. Mr Yeo’s lessons have provided me with the tools and practice needed to improve in physics! Furthermore, Mr Yeo is a very kind and supporting mentor whose motivation and enthusiasm for the subject encourages me to do my best in practicing the subject and I found a love for physics in his lessons. His lessons are well paced and learning objectives clear for us each lesson, which makes the learning experience very enjoyable and efficient. Looking back at these summaries were very helpful during my revision as well.
While I may not have gotten an A for the A levels, the improvement from an U to a C is thanks to Mr Yeo’s encouragement, and I would not have made it this far without his support. Thank you Mr Daniel Yeo!
