Mr Koh’s lessons were delightful. His friendly demeanor made it easy to look forward to his lessons, which were filled with light-hearted jokes and anecdotes. This was a perfect balance to how rigorous his lessons were at the same time.
Every lesson was fruitful, and I reaped something out of it, be it gaining clarity on a foreign concept, or picking up useful examination skills.
One thing I really appreciate and admire Mr Koh for, is how he has the answers to everything. With great mastery of the subject, Mr Koh always gives us a satisfied reply to any queries we might have, making sure that everyone’s questions are attended to. Sometimes, our inquisitive class might shoot him with multiple questions at once, but he always patiently responds to all of them, or will gently tell us that he will come back to the question later.
Lastly, the effort that Mr Koh puts in to help his students is truly commendable. A teacher who puts aside his breaks to have consultations with his student must be one who genuinely cares about his student’s progress. Mr Koh’s dedication and fine work ethics can also be seen from how his worksheets were all meticulously prepared, with model answers written with great details. Moreover, the little reminder messages that he types for our class before every test were so reassuring and encouraging, which really shows that he is a teacher not only with the mind, but also with the heart.
