Ms Ng Min is a sincere, effective, and experienced educator. She previously attended River Valley High as a student, where her General Paper essays topped the cohort throughout. Ms Ng then pursued a liberal arts education at Yale-NUS College as a scholarship recipient, from which she graduated with a First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Urban studies.

As a student, General Paper was Ms Ng’s favourite subject. She was glad to take a subject that encouraged and rewarded independent thinking and was able to excel in the subject. She hopes to contribute to similar levels of interest and performance in her students. She has since taught GP in the capacity as a private tutor for a number of years and has found success in consistently helping students experience significant grade improvements in the time spent with her.

Ms Ng has also worked as a freelance coach. She was an accomplished debater herself – holding the 1st Runner Up title from the MOE-ACJC Intercollegiate Debate Championships, and multiple rankings at debate tournaments in Asia. It is to debating that Ms Ng credits her strong performance in GP, as the sport taught her early on about constructing airtight arguments and rebuttals – regardless of topic, stance, or time constraint. She then went on share her knowledge as the coach for the Anglican High debate team, leading them to great success. Within a year and a half, the club began to achieve unprecedented success, qualifying for and advancing to the later rounds of national tournaments.

Ms Ng brings to her classes a unique and effective teaching approach. With a warm and interactive teaching style, she shares argumentative techniques rooted in her years of experience as a debater and educator. She prioritises creating a safe learning space where all opinions are welcome, helping students bring their ideas to the fullest potential. Ms Ng welcomes those who resonate with her teaching philosophy and wish to learn not only the practical tools needed to excel in exams, but also lifelong lessons about empathy, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Ms Ng has also worked full-time in tech innovation, government, strategy consulting, and renewable energy advisory sectors. Having accumulated professional experience at the forefront of the most contemporary problems today, she is able to help develop informed and critical perspectives on these matters in her classes.

Outside of her teaching, Ms Ng enjoys photography, making art, and rock climbing.
