I’ve been with Mr Koh for two years throughout JC, and I’m truly grateful for how supportive and dedicated he has been. His lessons are always well-structured, and the content covered in class is extremely useful and closely aligned with what we need for school exams. What I appreciate most is how he takes the time to ask what we are struggling with and adjusts his lessons accordingly. Whenever we find certain concepts difficult, especially topics involving complicated diagrams, Mr Koh patiently breaks them down step by step. He is willing to spend a long time going through explanations until we genuinely understand, rather than just rushing through the syllabus. He answers all my questions patiently, not only during class but also over text, which has been incredibly reassuring during exam periods. He consistently assigns practice questions and essays, pushes us to complete them and provides constructive feedback. His comments are specific, which really helped me improve my answering techniques and evaluation skills. He is also always open to consultations before school exams and major assignments, and makes time for us despite his busy schedule. I’ve recommended several of my friends to join the tuition centre, and all of them have seen clear improvements in their results. More importantly, they genuinely enjoy the lessons and appreciate Mr Koh’s dedication to his students. I’m very thankful to have had his guidance throughout my JC journey.

I had always struggled with H2 Economics since the start of J1, never scoring above an ‘S’ grade in any test or examination. After enrolling in Mr Koh’s Economics class, however, my understanding of the subject improved tremendously. This gave me far greater confidence in my grasp of the content. Mr Koh’s approach to teaching Economics was fresh, engaging, and consistently enthusiastic. His notes were invaluable for revision, being clear and digestible without sacrificing important details. He was always open to consultations and encouraged us to write more essays for him to mark and provide feedback, even though it meant additional work on his part. With his guidance, I managed to achieve an A for A-Levels, a remarkable jump from my previous results. This would not have been possible without Mr Koh’s diligence, patience, and unwavering support, for which I am truly grateful.

I’m truly grateful to have been taught by Mr Koh. As a very experienced former MOE teacher, he is highly professional and deeply knowledgeable in Economics. He even sits for the A-Level Econs examination every few years to ensure his content knowledge stays current. His lessons are always engaging, and he uses effective teaching methods like Q&A and relatable analogies to help us grasp abstract concepts. Most importantly, he focuses strongly on exam skills — especially identifying question requirements before answering, which sounds simple but is actually challenging to master. He is always approachable and willing to answer questions, whether in person or via text. He also goes the extra mile by proactively marking our work, giving detailed feedback, and even taking time to review our school exam papers. He was my saviour for Econs because my school teacher/ department was not that good.. I ended up with an A for Econs in A levels! Highly recommended!

Economics has always been a challenging subject for me due to its abstract concepts, heavy content load, and the limited time given to complete essays and case study questions. However, Mr Koh’s dedication and expertise truly helped me overcome these difficulties. Every lesson is conducted in a clear, structured, and highly effective manner. Complex concepts are broken down into manageable parts, and diagrams were taught logically and systematically, making them much easier to understand. His teaching gave me a strong grasp of the key ideas I needed to know, allowing me to keep up with my school’s lecture pace and even stay ahead by reading in advance. Because of Mr Koh’s efficient and focused lessons, we had ample time to practise a wide range of past A-Level and other schools’ preliminary examination questions. The comprehensive materials and consistent practice every week built my confidence in tackling the A-Level Economics paper and greatly improved my time management, enabling me to complete the paper promptly and with assurance. Beyond academics, Mr Koh’s enthusiastic encouragement motivates us to go the extra mile by attempting additional practices. He is always prompt in marking and grading our work, providing detailed feedback that helps me clearly identify my strengths, weaknesses, and knowledge gaps. Lastly, his warm words and realistic motivational check-ins were especially meaningful as we approached the A-Levels. Mr Koh is an extremely patient and dedicated teacher. Econs was one of my weakest subjects from the start and I was always frustrated and worried it would never improve. But Mr Koh never gave up on me- even when I didn’t do well for exams. He would always encourage me and continue helping me to improve instead of putting me down. In fact, I never thought I could ever get A for Econs, and I owe it all to Mr Koh for helping me achieve this milestone!

Mr Lee’s lessons are very clear and well structured. His thorough understanding of the syllabus and economics is apparent in his teaching delivery and insights. Helpful and willing to attend to queries outside of class. Even if you’re failing in school, the support and personalised feedback will definitely give you a better grasp of the subject.
