Having taken econs purely because it seemed to be the most common contrasting subject that everyone took, I started off with not having a great interest in this subject. However, In my first lesson, I cannot forget when Mr Harry Tiew told me about this fascinating decision making science subject. Throughout the two years, Mr Tiew has made me believe and realised that economics exists because human decisions are needed in this world. Economics is all about making the best decision where each perspective you take there is judgement criteria and different aspects to consider. With Mr Tiew’s teachings, I recognise the necessity of this subject and thoroughly enjoyed the logic behind economics.
With economics, I believe that understanding what questions were asking for was my biggest weakness. However, Mr Tiew taught me to analyse the intentions of questions, hence giving me a better understanding of all question types and how to answer them. Mr Tiew also made learning the content of economics a breeze with his worksheets being straightforward and logical. He multiplied the understanding that I gained from school and filled in all the gaps I had. I am extremely grateful to Mr Tiew’s teachings as well as encouragements. Thank you

In my studies of physics, Mr Daniel Yeo was extremely inspirational. His passion for the subject was something that could be felt in his teachings and his notes, it honestly was very refreshing being in his class which led me to fall in love with the subject pursuing it at a higher level (H3) in my second year.
In a more practical sense, Mr yeo seemed to have the A level syllabus and history of A level physics memorised. He shared meticulously what to look out for, common mistakes and practices to score well for the A levels. Mr Yeo’s way of teaching by explaining thought processes and techniques filled up many gaps in my exam-taking skill set. Mr Yeo broke down concepts through definitions with aid of visual illustrations and guiding questions. In our revision, Mr Yeo was always approachable and I am so thankful for him taking time outside lessons to answer my queries. His summaries were also an absolute time saver where concepts can be easily refreshed by going through them.

Dear Ms Ruby Ng, thank you so much for your guidance! I never would have thought that I would do well for H2 Math at all, but it was your lessons that were my lifeline. I think one of the reasons why I even managed to survive was due to the Vectors crash course I had in J1 – from someone who couldn’t even grasp the basic concepts at first, I grew to be very confident in that topic, even teaching how to approach Vectors questions to my friends as well! Your lessons were always very thorough, and your constant reminders of the A-level examinations’ importance always set us straight and kept us focused and ready to learn in class. Though I only joined in the months before A Levels, my skills and understanding of Econs quickly improved compared to before joining (prior to joining, I was frequently confused and unsure about how to approach Econs questions & concepts).
I found Mr Koh’s class to be an enjoyable learning environment due to his enthusiasm and patience. He readily clarifies any doubts we have (especially when going through challenging Econs questions) and I feel this indirectly encourages us to ask any questions we have, which I believe definitely aided my learning.
Achieved an A, but I am more grateful that I learnt to appreciate and understand Econs. Mr Koh is a superb teacher who is filled with immense passion – thank you very much, Mr Koh!

I joined Mr Gilbert Lee’s class in July 2021, with just a few months left till A Levels, with a U average in all my exams till that point. His no frills, simple lessons enabled me to finally grasp the answering techniques that eluded me for my whole JC life. As long as you follow his instructions to the letter and grasp the main idea of what he’s saying, answering econs questions becomes so much easier.
