Mr Gilbert Lee, you are like no other teacher I have met. Indeed, you are amazing at teaching Economics as a subject. You explain concepts really thoroughly and carefully and give very appropriate examples to help us, students, truly understand these concepts. I highly appreciate the links you draw between the economic concepts and events in the real world, as not only does it provide me with more examples to use in the exam, but makes economics a much more interesting and useful subject. Although such a high level of teaching itself is hard to find, granted, there might be a few other teachers out there that can match your highly proficient style of teaching. However, where you truly stand out is your ability to bond with students, along with your dedication to understand each and everyone of them. You work tirelessly to try and get each student to love the subject as well as to ensure that students are motivated to work hard in economics. Furthermore, you dedicate so much effort to talking to each one of us, trying to identify our problems not just in economics but life in general and help us to overcome them. It reached the point that I really enjoy going for economics tuition as it also became a personal developmental class. For me, I truly am grateful as you helped me realise that I had the potential to do better in my academics and in other areas of my life, all I needed to do was to be more disciplined. It really has been an education, not just for economics but an education in life. You are not just my tutor, but also my mentor. And you have inspired me, Mr Lee, not just to do better in my academics but also be a better person in life. Keep inspiring the hearts of many JC students Mr Lee, just like you have with me. Thank you for everything you have done and HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY!!
