I have enrolled myself in Mr.Mike Wang’s chemistry class from the start of JC1 to the end of JC2. When I was in JC1, I started to realise that chemistry in the JC level is a great jump from chemistry in the secondary level because A level chemistry focuses a lot more on the application of concepts and higher order thinking questions. I struggled to get accustomed to the level of difficulty in A level chemistry. However, with the guidance from Mr Wang, I began to understand the subject better. He strongly believes that we should truly understand the concepts rather than relying solely on memory work. He is a very caring teacher as he would constantly check on our progress. He has motivated me to achieve greater. He is also a helpful teacher as he was willing to stay back after class to clarify doubts we had during lessons or to answer our questions from school. During his lessons, he related concepts to examples in real life. During the last few months before the A levels, he prepared various practice sets which focused on different topics and question types. These practice sets have exposed me to questions that I have little practice in and thus helped me in my revision before the A levels.
It was an enriching learning journey the past two years under Mr Wang’s guidance. I sincerely thank him for his help in the past two years. Without his support, I would not have managed to regain confidence in this subject and achieve an A in A level H2 chemistry. -Ong Li Ying, National Junior College

Dear Mr Aw,
Thank you so much for helping me to pull my GP results from E to A! The content building for Essay writing was especially useful as I managed to use enough examples to substantiate my arguments.

Mr Phay is one of the liveliest and funniest tutors I have ever had. His notes are easy to understand but yet sufficiently detailed. Thank you for enabling me to appreciate the subject and understand it!

I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr Phay who has forked out both time and effort to ensure that I achieve my A in economics. In school, I never passed economics. Always scoring U’s and S’s, ultimately I achieved my miracle and jumped to an A grade in A’levels. The distinct difference in Mr Phay’s teaching method is that he believes that we students should come up with our own notes and never study straight from your thick lecture notebooks in school. At the start, I was doubtful and hated how he made me write my own notes. But gradually I realise it’s a more effective way of studying and it really helped me to grasp concepts much faster. Mr Phay has always been attentive and patient in answering queries. Throughout my 7 months stay in his class, I have pestered him almost every other lesson to check my notes/mark my work. And never once did he turn me down. Really thankful to have Mr Phay as my Economics teacher and hope to see more of u (j1s/j2s) benefit from his lessons!!! :)

Thank you, Mr Phay. He let me realise that dropping to H1 Econs was not a futile effort. Your Economics lessons are super engaging, and your comparison method of teaching really helps me to see both for and against of different economics scenario/ solution. Lastly, thank you for being such a fatherly figure to us, and always making sure we also focus on our H2 subjects too.

Mr Loh’s lessons genuinely helped me with Economics. His approach of combining the teaching of essay structure and content really gave me a stronger understanding of the subject and how to score for it. Besides this, his encouragement motivated me to study a lot harder for Economics and his enjoyable lessons did help me become a lot more interested in the subject. So thank you, Mr Loh! I am truly very grateful for the help and support.

Mr Daniel Yeo is able to explain physics concepts clearly and effectively. The use of acronyms and small fun facts help keep students engage and interested in the subject while the notes provided by Mr Yeo are easy to understand and provide explanations of application questions that have appeared in the A’ Levels before. The constant practices that Mr Yeo provides help greatly in recapping key concepts. Mr Yeo also closely monitors the time students spend on doing each question, helping students to improve their time management during the actual exam.

Dear Mr Gilbert Lee,
I struggled with H2 Economics in JC1, causing me to lose confidence in the subject. After enrolling in Mr Lee’s class, he helped me to identify my weaknesses, allowing me to realise that I lacked confidence in my content mastery and answering techniques. Under his tutelage, I improved through practice and engaging lessons that often went beyond the syllabus. While I am grateful to him for helping me to attain my grade, I am more thankful for the time and effort he spent teaching me to see the beauty in Economics and love the subject. Thank you, Mr Lee!

I want to thank Mr Yeo for helping me with achieving my A for my A level Physics. I found his practice paper very relevant to the exams, as there were many cross topics questions. His notes were very concise and succinct, easy to read. Mr Yeo was very patient in explaining difficult concepts and was quick to respond through WhatsApp for my enquiries. Thank you once again, Mr Yeo!
