Mr Prahb!
Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. Thanks to you, my grades have improved so much! Exams are nearing and I am much more confident now, not lost and floating around like the various organelles in a cell. I can really see how interested you are in teaching, it’s in your DNA! Your organisation of lessons is top-notch and you can control the lesson pace really well. There is so much to learn about Biology, it’s like new information keeps going through mitosis and meiosis constantly mutating. Though there is a variation in what schools teach every one of us, your lessons are like the light shining on every one of your students, allowing us to grasp the concept of photosynthesis. Though there definitely were unexpected circumstances like being late for lessons, respiration rate increasing as I sprint into class, you always forgave me and signalled me to the content you were teaching. The diverse methods you use to engage the class and impart knowledge have certainly evolved my understanding of Biology. Infectious diseases and climate change was a lot of content to handle, but I could really see how they tied in to developments happening in the present day. I sincerely hope you can continue to inspire future cohorts of students just like how you have furthered my interest in Biology. It has been an exceptional experience seeing you walk into class full of enthusiasm and all ready to help us as much as you can. Happy Teachers’ Day!

Mr Teng! Thanks for being such a wonderful math teacher who has transformed my life. Thanks to you, my grades have gone up like an exponential graph. You always take the time to bridge the inequality in our pace of learning, telling us how to differentiate different types of questions. What’s more, I’ve learnt to utilise GC functions much more effectively with your help. By integrating all the concepts we’ve learnt, a question can then be sequentially solved through a series of steps. Your enthusiasm and passion to teach math has been the vector for the class’ perspective towards the subject as a whole. Though some numbers may seem complex, trying permutations and combinations always gives us a high probability of answering the question correctly. Sometimes throughout the year, random variables were discreetly introduced, like starting lessons late, but you always managed to accomplish what you set out to do. Instead of normally distributing one fixed solution to us, introducing alternative methods really makes for more interactive learning. Through your lessons, I have sampled different types of questions, getting me fully prepared for the exams ahead.
Mr Teng, my hypothesis that you would be a great Math tutor has been tested and proven true. After all this time, I have seen the correlation between Math and other subjects, and the world around us. Thanks to you, I have furthered my interest in Math and will probably continue to read up and practice during my enlistment days.
敬爱的老师,您的谆谆教诲如春风,似瑞雨,永铭我心。我虔诚地祝福您:康乐如意。Happy Teachers’ Day!

Hi Mr Cai, thank you for making physics lessons engaging and meaningful by integrating real-world applications and bringing in different objects or devices to demonstrate physics concepts! The revision materials, especially the topical summary sheets, were well-organised and allowed me to review the content more easily. Thank you for staying back after lessons to answer any questions I have and Happy Teachers’ Day!

Thank you for sharing stories or experiences from your daily life to perk us up during lesson time, as well as devoting time outside lessons for 1-to-1 consultations to help me identify my mistakes or answer my queries. Although I joined lessons late in J2, you are always more than willing to help me catch up on past concepts you have already taught but I was not confident in. I’m very grateful for the topical summary sheets and concept maps you make as a quick memory refresher. Happy Teachers’ Day Mr Wang! :)

Writing letters and messages for holidays are not my strong suit but nevertheless I will make an effort just as Mr Au has done to accommodate me throughout my many months with him. I can speak about the tips he gives us for chemistry or the manner at which he conducts his class engaging with the students, but as I write this message I had time to reflect upon what it means to be a teacher. When you work with students from many JC’s and different classes it isn’t easy to care individually for each and everyone. It isn’t easy to reply to different text message at all hours of the day, it isn’t easy to learn the interests or quirks of each students. But from what I’ve seen Mr Au tries with whatever time he can spare. And That I believe is what it means to be a teacher, beyond transferring information or managing their grades. The ability to try to care a bit more, a bit further. On behalf of all students with the privilege of being under his tutelage I can say that we are richer for having known you. Happy Teachers day and see you next sunday.

Hi Mr Koh wishing you a very happy teachers day!! even though i hv only joined your class recently and have only attended 5 of your lessons, i am really grateful for your patient guidance, kindness and passion in teaching us econs, the times where you would extend your lessons for 30min just to answer our questions even though you have to rush off for lessons, as well as being there to help us online, not forgetting the extra 30min before official lessons started to explain with such great details questions i had. once again happy teachers day mr koh!!

Dear Mr Koh,
You are the only cher to ever show us what exactly the elephant in the room was and how to effectively deal with them. I personally don’t think one Teacher’s day is enough to squeeze in all the gratitude that I have for being such a great econs cher :’)
You really don’t ever stop working, and its super obvious from your texting patterns because either its super fast because you are always on da ball or its late because you are super focused on teaching your classes :P but you always reply in the end and for that I am super grateful. TQ for being the best econs cher ever and rmb to keep adding tons of oil everyday!
Regards,
JK

Dear Mr Gnan, thank you for always explaining the math concepts very well and constantly checking whether I understand. Thank you for always following my schedule and changing the topics to what I learn in school. I appreciate that you would also change your schedule so that I can have the make up lesson when I am free because my schedule is very packed. Also, thank you for patiently teaching me how to do the math questions during class even though I ask help for almost every single question… but now I am much better and can do most of the questions myself! Happy teacher’s day!!
Jessie, VJC
Hello Mr Aw, thank you so much for your teaching! Your lessons and notes are very detailed which make me appreciate General Paper more. Now I can finally understand what “God is in the details” actually means. Haha! Have a wonderful Teacher’s Day!
