Mr Koh worked tirelessly to help us prepare for the A levels, from preparing worksheets to marking the countless essays submitted. I’m especially grateful for how he always encouraged us to ask questions in class, and answered my many questions over text, even though this was outside tuition hours. Without him, I’m not sure if I would’ve been able to achieve my results. Thank you Mr Koh!

My journey with Mr Lee in the Learners lodge was a brief but wholesome one. After scoring c/d/e grades for almost all of the economic papers, I was dejected and lacked confidence in the subject. Furthermore with less than 5 months left to A levels, I doubted if I could make any improvements. Mr Lee however had more trust in his students than I have in myself, his professionalism and his unique kind of humour made daunting concepts easy to understand and lessons carefree. Furthermore, he goes out of his ways to painstakingly mark student essays, a dedication that even school teachers don’t demonstrate at times which helped me to realise my weakness in topics and brush up on them. Under the help of Mr Lee, I approached my A levels with confidence and eventually achieved an A for economics, a grade that I didnt even dare to dream about. I don’t know how Mr Lee did it but I am grateful for the trust he had in his students.While grades are a testament to a teacher’s teaching abilities, there is so much more that Kai Academy and Mr Lee himself has to offer. I was enlightened beyond academics and I hope as a prospective student, you can be too!

Mr Lee is a very interesting economics tutor and he is very dedicated to his job. He explains economics very well and comes up with apt real-world examples to help everyone better understand the concepts we have to learn. He is also super hardworking because he marks everyone’s essays and returns them back to us promptly. He is also very encouraging and gives good life advice 👍

I have always struggled with question interpretation and evaluation in econs. However, under Mr Lee’s tutelage, I finally understood what the markers look for in my answers & the different ways to evaluate. In the end, I managed to get an A for econs.
Mr Lee also went beyond the syllabus by linking concepts to real life. He guided us in interpreting statistics on global economic performance and in making sense of policies used in different economies. This has broadened my understanding of how and why policies are implemented and how the world economy functions.
His lessons also never fail to be enjoyable. His humorous yet engaging personality made learning econs approachable and less intimidating. He creates a classroom where insightful questions are welcomed and mistakes become part of the learning process. Mr Lee is truly a rare educator who combines clarity, relevance, and genuine care for his students’ growth.

Mr Gilbert Lee is a terrific teacher who is able to ingeniously summarise content into succinct bites. Hence I was able to digest previously confusing economics concepts easily. His constant encouragement for us to do extra practice was very helpful in us solidifying our understanding. Honestly the best econs teacher I’ve had the chance of studying under. An A for GP has become even more important under the new 70RP system. When I was anxious about my certainty of doing well enough closer to Prelims, Mr Aw’s lessons gave me the direction and confidence I needed for the last push. He laid out all that I needed to study to catch up, complete with spotted model essays for 2025 and answering techniques for every question under the sun. Spotting the Paper 1 and Paper 2 AQ successfully really advantaged me and made writing during the exam itself enjoyable. Thank you Mr Aw for basically handing me my A! My last ever essays written for GP were the best I’ve ever written!

Mr Aw is a very energetic tutor that is optimistic and encouraging, but also realistic. He is very experienced and well read, which makes his lessons very informative and effective; he knows what is most worth our time and effort, and makes sure to push us in the correct direction to maximise the efficiency of our time studying. He is also extremely proficient at demonstrating what he teaches to give a good example of how we should be thinking and working. Overall, he is an amazing tutor that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their GP.
